In Season – Brassica
Now that night-time temperatures are dropping, brassicas, both as cut flowers and pot plants,
are developing even richer colours. Ornamental cabbages stand out for their deep colours.
The leaves are densely packed and are often green on the outside, whilst the centre turns white, pink or purple.
With cut brassica, the rosettes sit on a long stem. The pot plants, on the other hand, remain low and compact,
with multiple layers of leaves. The colder it gets, the more intense the colours become.
