Our buyer went to Roelofarendsveen in the Zuid-Holland (South Holland) region to our grower Hogenboom Phloxen, which is developing a wide range of phlox.

Hogenboom is a family-run company, founded in 1941 by Jacobus Hogenboom.

He was involved in growing chrysanthemum cuttings.

The current owner, Jeroen Hogenboom, has specialized in Phlox since 2006 and grows a wide range of high-quality products.

Since 2011, a fresh harvest is carried out every day on the 26,000 m² farm, where quality and uniform maturity are essential and guarantee an excellent lifespan in the vase.

In total, 8 varieties are grown, of which 5 resulting from their own creation.

In addition to the well-known varieties Bright Eyes and Danielle, the new varieties such as Crissy, Dynasty, Amy, Tracy, Galaxy and Butterfly are also available.

Our purchaser also headed to Zeeland, where he visited one of the production areas of Summerflowers Teunis Aleman, to discover their summer flowers.

Between the gladioli, which are great summer classics and which, in July emerge like mushrooms in the fields, there are also Ammi visnaga [Khella] (Visnaga daucoides) and even dill and many more.
